Read Jason Pitzi-Waters’ report on “A Summer of Psychics” at The Wild Hunt. He begins with this CNN puff piece on psychic predictions about the economy and then examines why the media does these pieces when it’s obvious that other news commentators are going to sneer at their doing so. What’s interesting to us is that there were two tarot readers interviewed, one using a well-worn 1JJ deck and the other The Voyager Tarot.

Interesting video! I wouldn’t associate volatility and anger with the 4 of Cups, just being disinterested and maybe fed up, but I don’t know what it looks like in the Voyager Tarot.

Four of Cups can mean disgust and discontent, which pretty much sums up the public mood. I figure the psychics can do as good a job of prediction as the economists, most of whom failed to foresee the housing bubble and resulting crash!

BTW I managed to find an image of the card and its keyword is Anger. It looks pretty angry too. 🙂

I have to agree with the earlier posters and say that the psychics do at least as well as economists in predicting what is going to happen. What is funny is that the psychics overall said the same things–in about the same timeframe–while economists can’t seem to agree on much of anything. 🙂
And the piece saying that the psychics give comfort to clients during these troubled economic times is correct. Money matters have dominated my practice over the past few years, as well as related topics like work, moving, etc.
